Ageism In the NWT
Ageism exists in the NWT's Affirmative Action Policy. If a person has spent half their life in the NWT they fall under the territory's Affirmative Action policy.
If a 20-year-old moves to the NWT, in 20 years at age 40 they fall under the Affirmative Action policy.
If a 40 year old man or woman moves to the NWT, they do not fall under the Affirmative Action policy until they are 80 years old.
It is an ageist policy.
